“This doesn’t look like a sleigh, and there aren’t any reindeer!” he’s observant too.
“They were at home sleeping, and my other sleigh is in the shop getting repairs made by the elves,” James tries to convince the boy as he opens the passenger door.
“Okay Santa,” he says as he steps inside. James places the seatbelt around his body and shuts the door. He walks around to the driver’s side of the car, steps in, and starts the engine. “So where’s my present?” the boy finally asks.
“Right here!” James says as he slams his fist into the young boys face, knocking him into the passenger’s door. The boy doesn’t move, and is only knocked out. At least James was hoping he hadn’t accidently killed this one too early. He had the last one. He had very bad fucking luck. It ran in the family.
The young boy awakens to whom he believed to be Santa Claus standing to his front and holding a small hand saw. His mouth was gagged, his hands and feet bound and unmovable. Tears begin to roll down the cheeks of his tiny face.
“Ah, are you gonna cry? Are you a little cry baby?” James asks. The boy moans in fear and indicates that he isn’t with the gentle motion of his head. “Well you look like you are you little shit!” James removes the gag from his mouth.
“What are you doing to me Santa?” the boy asks.
“I’m not Santa! More like Satan!” he laughs.
“I want to go home to my mama!” the boy screams out.
“Your mama can’t hear you scream. No one else, can hear you scream,” James stretches the young boys tongue from his mouth. “And when I cut your tongue from your mouth, I won’t hear you scream anymore either!”
He did with the boy as he did with each of his victims. Removed and kept the parts he needed, and disposed of the rest in a bath of acid. No one would find him. Not even God himself.
“Daddy! You’re home!” Jessica runs over to her Father and hugs him tightly around his waist. “I’ve missed you! How was work?” she asks.
“Good darlin’. Where’s your mama?” James loved his daughter more than life itself. His wife June he could take or leave even on her best days. She was a fucking bitch, and he only thought so because she cheated on him constantly. Why he tolerated her antics he never understood, but he did. Maybe it was out of fear of loneliness, or perhaps he actually loved her. Either way, he was miserable, and it was only a matter of time before the marriage ended. Was he looking forward to it? He wasn’t sure he cared any longer. Fuck her.
“She’s doing laundry,” Jessica tells her Dad. “I’ll get her. Mama!” she yells out to her Mom.
“I could have done that myself Jess!” James says of her yelling.
“Yeah, but you know I do it better!” she smiles. James couldn’t resist her beautiful smile. It was so innocent and loving. She melted his heart with every one she flashed at him.
“You’re right,” he winks at her.
“What is it?” June asks as she rushes into the room and notices her Husband. “Oh, it’s just you.”
“Don’t be so excited! Jesus Christ!” James says.
“Dinner is almost ready,” she says. “Jess, fix the table real nice for me will you?” She may have only been eight, but she was already a big help around the house.
“Yes mam. I’ll get right on it,” such a big girl.
“How was your day?” June asks James with an obvious lack of interest in her voice.
“Same as usual. As boring as watching two whales fuck.”
“Language!” she says with a stern look.
“Sorry!” he replies.
“It’s okay Daddy!” Jessica says from the dining room. “I’ve heard the word fuck on television before.” James and June glare at each other as if there is no point in bothering to correct her. They continue as if nothing was said. “All done mama!”
“Good job baby!” June says. “Let’s eat,” the three of them have a seat at the dining table and enjoy a meal of spaghetti and meatballs. June wasn’t Italian by decent, but she could cook a damned good spaghetti. James always left the meal satisfied.
As James enjoyed his meal, he listened to his daughter talk about her day at school, all while thoughts of how the young boy’s small intestines made a nice wall decoration for his office only an hour earlier.
“Tell me again what you do,” Jessica asks her Father as he was tucking her into bed for the night.
“What do you mean?”
“For a job.”
“I’m a teacher. You know that sweetie.”
“I mean after you aren’t a teacher,” she giggles.
“After school? My other job?” he asks.
“Yes, that one. Mama said she didn’t understand it either.”
“Well, it’s kind of hard to explain in a way an adorable little girl such as yourself can understand it,” he says as he tickles her belly. Jessica giggles. “But I’ll try.”
“Okay,” she says as she places her favorite doll under her arm and rolls on her side, placing her focus and attention on what her Dad was about to explain to her.
“I’m a consultant, and that means that I help people.”
“What do you help them with?” she asks.
“I consult them…” she interrupts him.
“What does consult mean Daddy?”
“Consult means to give them advice. To tell them how I think something should be done in the situation they need help in.”
“What kind of situations?”
“Mostly about the discipline of cute little children such as yourself,” he says with a laugh.
“Do you tell them to spank them? Because I don’t receive spankings from you.”
“No baby. I try and help the parents understand ways that they can punish their children when they do bad things, in ways that are healthy, and doesn’t require spankings and things of that nature.”
“That’s really nice of you to help the parents to not hurt their children. Where did you learn to do that?”
“Why the sudden questions sweetie?” James was honestly curious as to why she was suddenly questioning him about what he did every day.
“I just want to know,” she replies.
“When I went to school to learn to be a teacher, I also learned how to be a behavior therapist that specialized in children,” he says. “Now, I think that’s enough questions for tonight. I know a certain little girl that needs to go to sleep. You have school in the morning,” he leans in and kisses her gently on her forehead. “Now go to sleep. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight!” James leaves his daughter’s room, leaving her door slightly ajar so that the hall light could shine in. Monsters were a very real fear in Jessica’s mind, and a small amount of light was believed to scare them away. Light and her best doll. She drifts off to sleep. A well rounded and happy young girl. James was a great Father, and no one would argue that fact.
James didn’t consult anyone, and I’m assuming you’ve figured that out at this point of our story. He used his consultation time to abduct young boys from various neighborhoods throughout his city, and because he was so careful and thorough at the disposal of their innocent bodies, he had yet to be caught. Today, he’s abducted another. This one a bit younger than his usual target. Five at the oldest with short blonde hair, and the prettiest crystal blue eyes. James has him back at his office, an undisclosed location even to his wife. He removes his favorite body parts from each child. With this one, he likes his entire head. He needed a head. Until now, he’d yet to find one he found acceptable to form his creation.
“You’ll do nicely,” he says to the boy. “Such a beautiful face, eyes, and hair,” He was allowing the boy to scream, as he often did. Although he never molested the children, the violence was sexually gratifying in a way that was unexplainable even to himself. He never acted on it, not even masturbating later during his private time at home, but he did enjoy a good violent arousal.
James tosses the boy over onto a table and begins to quickly remove his he
ad. He didn’t want them to suffer any more than they already did from fear. Their suffering wasn’t his intention ever time. He only wanted a son of his very own. June couldn’t have any more children, and she refused to allow them to adopt despite his plea for another child. He has a beautiful daughter that he loves very much, but he wants a son as well. If she wasn’t going to give him one, then he was going to create one himself. Piece by piece. Stitch by stitch. The perfect head was the last part he needed, and now he’s found it.
James spends the rest of the afternoon perfecting every stitch on his creation of a son. It was no more than a doll made of the body parts of random boys. In his mind however, he was as alive as if he’d been born from his wife’s own womb.
He stands back for a moment and marvels at his work. His eyes tear up, and he begins to shed tears. “You’re perfect my Son!” he says. He walks over to the body and embraces it into his arms. “You’re so perfect!”
As he always does, James takes a picture of his newest work. This time however, it was complete. He would place it into the special photo album he keeps hidden at home that he’s made just for the memories of his newest child. It was a document of his creation and birth. The final picture would complete the journey. James was a proud new Father today. He was overcome with joy.
“I’m home guys!” James says gleefully as he walks through the front entrance of his home. “What’s for dinner?” he asks but not receiving an answer from anyone. Walking into the kitchen, he notices that there isn’t anything cooking on the stove. “Jessica? June?” Still no answer. He walks down the hall and toward his bedroom. As he reaches the door he sees his wife and daughter sitting on the floor crying. “What’s wrong guys?” he asks.
“She found this!” June says as she tosses a photo album at his feet. “What is it?” she screams out. “Tell me it’s not real James!” He stands stunned and in silence, not sure of what to say, and curious of how his daughter came across it. He was now realizing he may not have had it hidden as well as he thought he had. Maybe keeping it at home wasn’t such a great idea after all.
“I can explain!” he begins.
“Daddy?”
“Here,” James hands the newest picture to them. “This goes with it.” He smiles. “See, that’s your new Brother!”
“What the fuck?” June yells out at her husband. Jessica sits in silence. “New Brother?”
“You can name him whatever you want! I made him for us! For all of us! We finally have the Son we’ve always wanted!”
“I never wanted a Son you sick motherfucker! I’m calling the cops!” June grabs the phone from the nightstand next to the bed.
“No! You can’t! They’ll take him away!” James begs of her.
“They’ll take your ass away too!” June says. The 911 operator comes onto the phone. “I need the police now!” Pause “My husband is a sick fuck, that’s what! I think he’s killed some kids!” James rushes out of the bedroom and into the bathroom. He removes a straight razor from out of the medicine cabinet. Walking back into the bedroom, he begins to yell.
“Get off the fucking phone June!”
“Hurry!” June screams into the phone as she notices the razor in James’ hand. Jessica begins to finally scream as her Dad is beginning to scare her.
“They’re not going to take our Son from us!” he slices June across her stomach and face, but she manages to slam the phone against the side of his head. He drops the razor onto the floor.
Jessica picks the razor up and stands just out of her Father’s reach.
“Give me the blade baby! Daddy would never hurt his angel! You know that!” James says to her.
“You’re not my Daddy, you’re a monster!”
“Don’t say that! I’m not a monster!”
“Only monsters hurt children!”
“I just wanted to give you a brother. Can’t you try to understand?” James begins to cry.
“You’re supposed to teach people how to not hurt kids, but you’re the one doing the hurting!” Jessica says.
“Let’s just move forward. Give me the razor,” he reaches his hand out to her. “Can’t you forgive me?”
Jessica pauses in silence and stares at her Father for a moment. The sirens from the police cars are ringing from outside. She raises the razor above her head, and brings it down, slicing her Father across his throat. Jessica leans in and kisses him on the cheek of his face as he grasps his neck and bleeds out into the floor.
She smiles.
“You’re forgiven.”

John’s always loved little girls. A man of his seventies, he thinks back on his favorites as he stands in silence in the front of the ferris wheel that he operates with the traveling carnival he’s currently working with. He takes a slow drag from is smoke and looks around intensely at the crowd around him that slowly passes by. His eyes are a deep black. As black as his soul, and as dark as his heart. An intense stare of both hatred and passion. Feelings that he’s always been unable to distinguish from each other. One’s that he feels are very much one and of the same. John’s passions however, have always been unnatural.
“Hey Mista?” John glances down noticing a little girl in a bright yellow dress with hair as red as the sun on a hot southern afternoon. He smiles at the sight of such beauty.
“Whatcha want baby girl?” he asks.
“How much for a ride?” the little girl asks in reference to the tilt a whirl. John takes another drag from his smoke and slowly blows it out.
“For you, nothing,” he says.
“I ain’t tall enough am I?” she asks. She could be no more than seven years of age. John squints his eyes with intensity.
“You’re plenty big enough darlin’,” he says. “Get on in,” he opens the gates and begins to motion the little girl onto the ride.
“April! Get over here!” a man says from a small distance away. The little girl turns and notices the man calling her name.
“I gotta go Mista. That’s my Daddy,” she says. John looks at the man and nods, the man waving back in return.
“See ya,” John replies to her as she runs away, his stares following her as she does.
The lights are fading out, and the evening’s attractions are all but over. He sits upon a bucket watching as the remaining guests begin to make their way toward the exit gate, and lights himself another Lucky. The cigarette of choice in the fifties.
“Are you about to turn in for the night?” Adam, a seasoned sideshow performer that’d traveled with this particular establishment for nearly twenty years, a man of special talents, asks as he approaches.
“Yeah, I’m fixin’ to head that way I reckon,” he responds as he glances up at his friend.
“Me too,” Adam begins. “I’ll talk to ya in the mornin’ then,” he says as he turns to walk away.
“Night,” he replies with a casual wave of his hand, his stare still focused on the crowd leaving as if he were a Lion surveying the landscape for his next prey. “There the little bitch is,” he says to himself as he notices the little girl in the yellow dress. She seems to have separated from her parents, as she’s calling for them, running around in a panic near the exit gates. Tossing his smoke to the ground, he stands. Smiling, he begins to walk over toward her. “Are you lost little girl?” he asks.
“I can’t find my Daddy,” she says through her tears. He reaches his hand down toward her.
“Come with me then baby girl. I’ll help you find your Daddy,” the little girl places her hand into his as he begins to lead her away from the gates.
“You know where my Daddy is?” she asks as she begins to smile, the tears quickly beginning to wipe away.
“I do,” he says.
“Is he in here?” she asks as they are now standing before the trailer that he lives in. A ravished ran down red piece of shit that he’d called home for fifteen years. Opening the door, he motions her in.
“He’s right in th
ere,” he says. The little girl smiles and walks inside. He looks around to make sure no one sees what he’s doing, steps inside, and shuts the door behind himself.
No one heard her scream as blood fell through the cracks of the trailer floor. As he cut her from crotch to sternum and raped her innocent body, no one even knew. He tossed her body in the lake in the next county, and as the fair left town the next morning, it was as if he was never there at all.
John is a man of exquisite taste in both wine and food. Enjoying the finer tastes from all parts of the world, he’d traveled during a brief stint in the military as a younger man. The vessel on which he set sail for such adventures, was helmed by a brute of a man that everyone called Captain Sled, although a more accurate title would have been asshole.
Captain Sled wasn’t a kind man. He wasn’t even a decent man. He was however a very cruel and evil man that ordered his men around as if they were nothing more than mere maggots being led to their next decaying meal. He cared of no one but himself, at least until the day he met a the young and impressionable John Cannon aboard his ship.
“You! Come here!” Captain Sled demanded of John one morning as he noticed him mopping the deck.
“Me Sir?” John asked.
“Did I stutter Boy?”
“No Sir!” John ran right over and immediately stood at attention.
“What’s your name Son?” the Captain asked.
“John Cannon Sir,” he replied.
“Do you realize that we’re about to make port in China John Cannon?”
“Yes Sir! Some of the guys said…” he began.
